EU, CROATIA, DALMATIA, THE ZADAR ARCHIPELAGO, ISLAND OF PAŠMAN

Location - Island of Pašman

Pašman is an island in the Zadar archipelago which is separated from the mainland by the Pašman Channel. The island itself is known for its indented coast, and thanks to the sea currents, which change direction in this area every 6 hours, the sea in the Pašman channel is perfectly clean.

Valuable cultural heritage tells us about the long and rich history of this island - the remains of Illyrian and Roman cities, the stone statue of St. Michael from the 12th century, Benedictine monastery of St. Kuzma and Damjan, the Franciscan monastery of St. Dujam and many other churches and monuments.

Apart from the clean sea, indented coast and rich cultural heritage, the advantage of the island of Pašman is its excellent connection to the mainland (ferry Zadar - Preko and the Ugljan-Pašman bridge; direct ferry from Biograd to Pašman). By land, Zadar can be reached by a modern road that connects Croatia with all EU countries.
